When he appeared, he was all too familiar. She met him in her dreams. He was fascinated by her but had never met her. He was in debt with someone, and through a blood contract, he was to keep her safe. For someone with a cold demeanor, she sees through it. Sirus is fascinated by Gwen. Who doesn’t seem to fear him? Even after she knows what he is. She could feel the predator in him, but still, she couldn’t help being drawn to him. Will their fascination for each other distract Sirus? Will he be able to hide her from those who seek her and honor his debt?”
Shadow of Dark Desire” by Ashley Lockwood is a fictional book about magic. The author personalizes the story and weaves it into her imagination, which makes the book more entertaining. For instance, her use of “Magick” instead of “magic” adds a unique touch to the narrative.ad of magic. The storyline itself is exceptional. Who thought a vampire, mage, and dragon would be under one roof? I loved the characters.
I loved how she portrayed the difference in age between the others and Gwen. Being mortal, they perceived her as naive and fragile, yet she was far from it. The characters were entertaining as well. Sirus and his indifference, Barith is charming, Levian is unpredictable yet sweet, and Gwen is curious. I also loved how the story was fast-paced. There is nothing I disliked about this book. It was well-developed and plotted. I rate this book four out of five stars. I loved reading every second of it. I recommend this book to lovers of fiction and all things magic, or in this case, Magick. I recommend it to romance readers as well.
