Resonant by Robert Leet

He solves problems by nature as a mathematician, and his insatiable curiosity could be his downfall. Sonya Perez, a friend of Dr. Joseph Tenatt’s, is suggested for a classified position with the navy. Later on, he finds out that they are using humpback whales in a risky endeavor. Together with his intelligent buddies, they are a team committed to saving Sonya and figuring out what message they appear to be conveying. Their language is referred to as a resonance form. But at what price? Will they leave?

Robert Leet’s Resonant is a recreation of actual events that happened. The fact that some of these things actually happened astounded me. The fact that these were actual people experiencing such issues further deepened my appreciation for the novel. I learned more about humpback whales than I had anticipated. I also gained knowledge about mathematical and scientific ideas. for instance, the distinct packets of energy. I had no idea what to expect from the book, yet it has taught me a lot.

The characterization in the novel was excellent. I had to go and conduct my own study on some of the discussions between Teddy and Dr. Joe, but the intellectual viewpoint was clearly demonstrated. Clives’ personality was intriguing as well because of the way he conducted his business. He would use Joe’s garbage bin to relay information to Joe. It also takes advantage of people’s potential for danger and dishonesty. Death, treachery, and acts of evil occur without regard for the value of human life.
